Have been using the fisherman max now for 2 or 3 years in Australia we are absolutely loving it!
Have used it to catch some EPIC sharks and rays! And we trust it to fly our bait out every time even in the remote locations we fish.

Ordering accessories like batteries and spare props has always been quick and hassle-free, with fast shipping every time. That kind of support makes a big difference when you’re using it regularly.

Most importantly, this drone has delivered where it counts getting baits out and putting us onto endless epic catches. It’s been part of some seriously memorable sessions and hasn’t let me down.
If you’re serious about drone fishing and want something dependable, this is a solid investment.

The SwellPro Fisherman FD3 Waterproof Fishing Drone (Advanced version with 4K camera and multi-color display controller) is a solid, purpose-built tool for serious anglers—but it’s not without its quirks.

First off, the biggest strength is exactly what it’s designed for: bait delivery. The payload capacity is impressive, and being able to drop bait precisely where you want—especially beyond casting distance—is a game changer for surf and offshore fishing. The waterproof design adds a ton of confidence, especially if you’re flying in wind or over rough water.

The 4K camera is a nice bonus, giving you a clear live view to help position your drop. It’s not cinematic-quality footage, but it’s more than good enough for scouting and navigation. The multi-color display controller is a noticeable upgrade over basic remotes—bright, readable, and much easier to use in daylight.

That said, there is definitely a learning curve. Initial setup, calibration, and pairing can be frustrating, especially if something isn’t communicating correctly. GPS connection, compass calibration, and controller syncing need to be spot-on or the drone won’t arm properly. It’s not a “take it out of the box and fly in 5 minutes” type of product.

Battery life is decent, but when you factor in travel distance, payload weight, and wind, you’ll want to plan your runs carefully. Also, replacement parts and troubleshooting can take some patience.

Overall, if you’re a dedicated fisherman looking to seriously upgrade your reach and efficiency, the FD3 Advanced is a powerful tool worth considering. But if you’re expecting something ultra-simple or hobby-grade, it may feel a bit technical.

Final verdict: Great performance for its intended use, but expect a bit of setup time and a learning curve to get the most out of it.

I love my drone I can't wait to use it and have it. Follow me on the jet ski. It'll be even better once i'm able to buy the floodlight camera for this drone

The sequencing and propmptness of powering the unit up got a bit of getting use to but,....our first day with the drone was epic! It has already paid for itself.

Hola a todos a quienes le interese esto. Compre un SplashDrone 4+ que es excelente para lo que busco que es pescar desde la costa argentina. Pero puedo decir que la atención del departamento de venta es de lo mejor. El envío lo hicieron muy rápido a pesar de estar en la otra punta del mundo. Y todas las dudas las resolvieron sin ningún problema y sin máquinas que responden. Agradecido estoy por esto.

It's great that you can do various types of fishing.

We just got this gem for our fishing charter boats out of Port Canaveral. It was ready to fly right out of the box. It’s first day on the water, we had steady 15-20mph winds and she held steady. I botched my landing and ended up wet, but it flipped and took off from the water’s surface effortlessly. Must have drone for our boats!

Fist time using a drown and already fill like a pro really easy to control money well spent

I decided to kick out the expensive boat idea and decided to go low budget drone approach. All the insurance the fuel cost and maintenance up keep would drive my cost through the ceiling in time. I figure I will save thousands of dollars buying a capable drone instead. I could probably buy 10 of these drones for 1 year of boat expense. Shark fishing has just reached a whole other level..Big thanks Swell Pro for doing all the math so we didn’t have too.

Super easy and fun to use even for your amateur drone flyers I had a couple of smaller drones, but nothing like this i was super nervous using it at first but with the youtube videos and have such easy directions i easily flew it first try with no issues i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT i will be buying more batteries in the future and possibly extra parts cause i was unsure with how much fun i had i will be getting those extra batteries and other stuff,

the max is a game changer. I have the fd1 and the max is awesome. This flies out and back faster than the fd1. Flying it is super easy. The best drone for fishing hands down.

This product far exceeds my expectations. The thought that went into the design is amazing, for example the camera mount pops off with hard landing and is easily reattached. My first serious drone but this one is so simple to operate with confidence.
