Fisherman FD1
Fisherman FD1 is a purpose-built waterproof fishing drone for every fisherman. It inherits the same technology from SplashDrone 3+ but removed all the bells and whistles that don’t contribute to bait dropping, thus reducing the cost. A stronger propulsion system enables the FD1 to lift heavier baits, fly longer and more stably in a windy condition.

Contrary to the multi-purpose SplashDrone 4, Fisherman FD1 cancelled the features and components that are useless for drone fishing. Special algorithms were put into the flight controller of FD1 to ensure that the drone can maintain its altitude and position while lifting heavy baits. And there are many advantages that make FD1 one of the greatest fishing drones in history.

FD1 incorporates several sensors to increase stability during flight. The GPS/GLONASS can receive up to 11 satellites each and accurately holds the position of the aircraft. A barometer maintains the altitude while a gyroscope keeps the drone balanced in all circumstances. Any fisherman who has no previous piloting experiences can fly FD1 like a professional.
Bait Dropping at your Fingertips
Attaching fishing line into the bait release of FD1 and later releasing it just requires a push on a button on the remote controller.
Anti-Pendulum Feature
Drones may have a pendulum motion when flying with a payload. This feature can reduce the pendulum effect on the FD1 by adjusting the acceleration and de-acceleration.
Auto-release & Return
FD1 can automatically release the bait and return to the shore when the battery level reaches a certain low threshold or the drone loses connection.

I was so excited when I got this to try it out. The first day I was off, me and my best friend rushed to Galveston to test it out. Worked perfect and super easy to fly even for someone like me that has never messed with drones. The propellers are a little sensitive so definitely buy extras. Caught a 5 foot blacktip shark and a 36 inch (my new pb) bull red. This thing has me itching to go out every week!
I enjoy land based shark fishing. I'm getting older and cannot kayak baits out like I could 20 years ago, so I purchased the FD1. The drone performed perfectly. I could run 3 baits in half the time it took me to run 1 with a kayak. Less time running baits=more time fishing. The results showed. The return home feature is awesome. I accidentally put the drone down in the ocean once, but I was able to flip it and take off from the water without any problem. The drone remained water-tight with no leaks at all. It also performed well in a strong wind carrying whole fish or chunks of ray as bait. As for customer service: one of the landing gear came out over the ocean on my third run out. The set screw must have vibrated loose or wasn't tight from the factory. I wrote an email to customer service and told them what happened. I had 4 new landing gear at my house in 2 days wile I was still at the beach on vacation. The one thing i would recommend to improve would be to make the remote waterproof and sand proof. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with this drone or the customer service! Thanks for making my shark fishing trip this year the best I've had!
I had a hard time hooking the line to the drone and closing the switch. So I have a small piece of copper wire that i hook up, with release button closed.
Just received a brand new fisherman fd1. Flew 2x and I’m pleased with how simple the new gen is to get in the air compared to my last 3+ and my 1st gen.

DAY 1

I Cycled 2 new batteries once today, weather was windy and started raining. The first battery only for testing purpose was Litrally out of the box no calibration (I do not recomend). As to be expected the drone was drifting, fluctuations in hight and not holding position. After performing the 3 easy step calibration as per the video the drone was performing much better and holding position much better.

The drone doesn't have remote id, the drone needs to be manually calibrated every time you use it, but the price is good and the performance is great. I am thinking of upgrading but for now this drone will get you on fish asap
